Repair Estimates
I'm wondering who to contact for repairs on a short sale property. How realistic should the repair estimates be? Obvoiusly some companies charge more then others. I really want my short sale approved. This is the last stumble before I submit my fist short sale package. The master bath could be replaced is it normal to update the house when proposing a short sale?

I have no idea if a SS requires something special.
I look at repair estimates this way...
If I make a bid based on estimates and I end up buying the place I want to know I can get the work done for what I thought. Otherwise I have no idea what I am buying. Hence I would only use contractors who I could alter go to and get the work done for the estimated price.
Yes, there could be surprises or overruns. Hence I try to use contractors who are normally pretty close to their estimates.
