Vinegar Works Great, But!

tsunupe profile photo

I received numerous ideas about removing wallpaper. THANKS. I do have to admitt that the vinegar and water concept worked great!!

Concern: A subcontractor says that the vinegar will cause problems with my paint and that the paint could bubble up within 6 months. He suggested I stop using the vinegar and put oil based primer on the previously cleaned walls.
Can anybody comment on this situation? Thanks...

steam gun rented from Home Depot is what I used.

If the vinigar is washed off, how would it affect the paint?
