Are you saying that Ameraco is another rip off company that investors should be made aware of?

  • villalta135th January, 2008

I have purchased the program from Americo( finditandfundit)
I cant say if its a ripp off or not, but I can tell you that if you want to submit a property to them its not as easy as they make it sound. Once I got the program and the book they call a tutorial i was very dissappointed in the service they provided. ALl the information that they gave I already knew from free searches on line....
Since I was new at this I thought the hardest thing about wholesaling was finding the buyer.....
Boy...I was wrong. ..for me its finding the property....
Long story short. Dont waste your MONEY

any info on this company as of late good or bad?

  • weneedmoney12th March, 2008

Well I was just contacted an hour ago by a sales rep who was offering this program. I was in the to good to be true faze and looked up their name which everyone was telling me to do it. Then I came along this website. So all of their info is free other places? How exactly do you do it? I am not an investor just some one who is going to college for Business and always wanted to work for myself. I been wanting to get into real estate but dont have the money or the credit to do so. Is their other programs like theirs around that is less or no money? All help would be well appreciated. Any body that can show me or kinda mentor me would be great

There are many, many ways to make money in real estate. This forum is the best place I know to get ideas and answers. Spend some time reading here, and you will learn many useful and profitable methods- for free!

I know it sounds like I am pushing something, but I get nothing from this site except great information and answers to my questions from other investors. I am not selling anything. Just buying cheap houses in my local area and sharing what I have learned.

See I have no money and very little to no credit. Its sad lol but I know I want to get into real estate and make a great living off of it. I have heard of many ways to do it but no knowledge on how to do it. How would I go about buying a house with no money? I dont get how you do this. I am actually about to buy a house on contract with option to buy or something like that. But the house is in a bad neighborhood, in bad shape, and I think the price hes wanting is a bit much. But like my GF says its a stepping stone and I can get it sectioned 8 approved or rent it out. This seems a little long though seeing as itll take me a year or so to get in the possessions of actually buying the house. So how would I do this fast and with no money? Point me in the right direction is all im asking for thank you..

So has anyone made any progress with Ameraco???? I keep seeing posts that people are thinking about doing it but then I dont see any follow up if anyone was done any work with this company and been successful.

  • chimericinvestments30th September, 2008

I joined. I have not actually done anything with the program though but it was a nice starter tool to help me get started. I later learned that I did not need to spend the cash as I started to learn more about real estate. So, I can not tell you if it works well. Supposedly some people were having problems with deals. Supposedly this is because it is a program that allows you to submit your contracted property to other investors and some investors use to buy properties that were contracted from under the wholesaler without paying them. To avoid this they started recommending that wholesalers cloud the title.

What I would recommend is that you build a buyers list. You can look in the newspaper to find investors in the real estate section who are selling investment properties or renting homes. Try them!

Back again with the same Ameraco Co. questions if you signed up: Tell us how many deals/investors you got, how much you made, about the company, or if its is worth it. Thanks in advance.

    >>>when I talked with the credit card agent, she looked at the details behind the transaction and apparently the charge is run through a "Barber and Beauty Shop" merchant account, even though on my credit card statement it said "Ameraco". Enough said.<<<

Mike, I am sorry for your trouble but what you posted in your first post is priceless. I hope you stick around here.

I talk to someone from Americo last night they are back in it, selling harder than ever ,thank you for the comments , I will stay away from them. You may have just save me 500.00 large

Dismiss Ameraco ... that same five hundred dollars you can save and go to the Barnes and Nobles. Borders Books or your local library. They are offering nothing, but to take your money.
Though education is never free, there are ways to be more efficient in the dissemination of your resources.
Use your local paper to attract investors, run an add-after studying your craft. Of the five hundred they want from you take one hundred and fifty and by yourself some books on the art and science of real estate investing.

They will re-emerge again under a new name.

  • maxchidas19th September, 2010

I guess AMERACO is just too good to be true isnt it. Well Im glad I researched before comitting my hard earned money.

  • maxchidas19th September, 2010

At the end of the day and after reading all these profiles, judgement has to be passed and reality set. During the information technology days, why would anyone pay an extra charge to link a seller to a buyer especially an agent that knows the specifics and the basics of the real estate field. The unlimited free opportunities and abilities of the Information Technology era automatically disqualifies organisations such AMERACO, doesnt it. Thank you so much for sharing you experiences that have made me able to make a calculated decision not to waste money with the AMERACO people and have made me smarter. I am going to seek more sound ways of doing business in the real estate industry.

I joined Ameraco August 2009 and have submitted at least twenty deals. They did find me some investors that wanted to buy some houses that I had under contract but they were trying to buy them at about 10 cents on a dollar. I had three houses worth well over a million even with a bad economy. They offered me $250,000 and I had them under contract for $500,000 and they were homes that were valued at 2 million before the housing market crashed. I am in the best market in the country ,Indiana. Ameraco is a scam.
