Who Answers Questions Here?

I was invited to try this site so I did. I posted one of the topics a couple days ago "Performance Mortgage Made Simple?"

No one has replied. Does this mean no one knows anything about performance mortgages?

I have done tons of reading on different sites and have never come up with a clear explanation of what a performance mortgage actually says.

Does anyone here know anything about this?

I've participated in a couple of RE discussion forums and always have a response by someone about whatever topic.

If this is supposedly one of the best sites on RE, why doesn't someone respond? TCI forums are supposed to be positive and encouraging.

Thanks!

There's a lot of information on here and a lot of really experienced/helpful people on here to talk to and learn from.

You can learn a lot just by searching through the forum. I wouldn't generalize this forum because one question you asked did not get an answer. I don't have an answer to your questions but this forum has been the most helpful tool for me.

    de51,

    Glad to meet you.

If you did a search on any search engine you will find out what a performance mortgage is.

So you must have another question that is probably more important, how enforceable is a performance mortgage and when should it be utilized.

So I will send your post over to the Legal Forum for an answer, albeit what is a performance mortgage or how enforceable is it.

The site is kept alive by member discussion and contribution. Anyone can post or reply to posts. That doesn't mean they'll know the first thing about it. They may, however, have extensive knowledge.

This site is very inexpensive, and much of the information is accessable to everyone, member or not. There are no paid mentors.

Regarding your previousl post. There's no science as to who will reply to what post or where they will go. Sometimes questions are vague, use regional terms, lesser known jargon, are very specific, or it just so happens that no one that knows actually stumbles across your topic. This site isn't an "end all" source of knowledge. There are books to read, people to talk to, regional nuiances to learn. It is, however, very useful for most of us.

Last of all, you can contribute to the site by answering your own question and posting it once you've learned the answer from other sources. It may be that others have wondered the same thing, but none have known the answer.

Bottom line is that If you don't like the site, don't use it. If you do, go ahead and use it.
