When a house is condemned by the city, is a lien placed on it? If so, will that lien prevent the seller from passing good title?

    Answer: Normally yes.

    Answer: Yes it will prevent passing a good title unless the lien is paid off.

    From what I have read, you can payoff the liens from the proceeds that the seller is to receive as long as it is in the contract. I am in a similar situation myself.
