How do I go about placing a lien on a real property.
My home was vandalized and I know who did the damage so I need to place a lien on their properties to help recover the damages.

In order to do that you would need to obtain a civil judgment against them in court. Then if they do not pay, depending on where you live you may or may not be able to place a lien on their property.
Liens on property can only be filed for certain reasons. There are severe penalties for filing an illegal lien.
