Hi, I am needing to how do I locate property that is listed in "range, lot and area" terms. Is there a book available through the parish? I am very wet behind the ears and would appreciat ANY help you guys can give. Thanks tammymarsha

actually, I think he is talking about already have a legal descrpition. In the form of "the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the eastern most 1/4 of Section 42-52-44.
Depending on your state/county, you can likely goto the courthouse and get from the auditor or assessor a plat map with the names of the owners, if they have an aerial photograph, it might work out even better for you. With out getting into too much detail, you generally work your way backwards on these descriptions...
