Great Rehab, Cant Find Owner!
Hello everyone, I was driving for dollars this weekend and I found the perfect rehab project that I can fund and work on. However, I have tried to locate the property owners and I have come to a dead end. I tried tax records, phone book, everything and I just keep coming up with the same thing. The owners name and the mailing address which is the same as the rehab house. I know they dont live there because it is boarded up. Does anyone know of a way where I can find the owners that I might have overlooked. Thanks

I am goig through this now. Here are a couple of suggestions.
1. talk to the neighbors, people are nosy and know more than you think. THis includes any small ma&pop stores in the area.
2. Send a letter to the address, if the post office has a forwarding address they will forward on the letter.
3. If you have pulled their name off the tax records (by the way, did you check to see if the taxes are paid up?) you could do a search over the internet for people of that name starting with your city and state and branching out from there.
4. Check with utility companies, they may or may not have information. If there is still power and water it is because somones paying for it.
5. On a dubious outcome I doubt it is worth doing a skip trace on them.
