In Order To Be A Successful Landlord You Need To Be A Handyman
Me and my partner have a handyman service company. Therefore we attend a lot of real estate investor/landlord meetings. Based on what I hear in those meetings I came to a conclusion that in order to be a succesfull landlord , you have to be a handyman yourself. Those who are landlords know, that smallest repair can cost you hundreds of dollars. Based on this information, I came up with idea. What if there would be an online service that offers handyman classes on video on all different subjects (such as drywall repair, lock repair, plumbing etc.). After purchasing this service landlord/investor would have ability to call help line for any additional questions. In addition to that, based on your description and pictures we could provide you with an estimate for the property that you about to purchase, stress on some main problems and solutions, so you know what you are getting in to, before buying a property. Please give me some feedback or advice on this idea. Let me know if it would have any popularity among landlords/investors. Thank you for your time.
Thank you for your suggestions…you are probably right..you don’t necessarily need to be a handyman in order to be a successful landlord…it’s just that so many landlords that I know are selling their properties because of a high cost of repairs that they have to do after they had a problematic tenants
