Question On Tenant Selection Process

I would like to get the general consensus on the following:

1st - do you require a non-refundable deposit from prospective tenants to pay for the credit check?

2nd - do you require to see a photo id prior to giving them a lease.

    1) Depends on your area. If most apt complexes charge, then I would.
    2) Get a driver license when you get the application.

    Also, get the book "Every Landlords Legal Guide". Will help you with questions like this and has 20 free landlord forms.
