Does Lease=Landlord?

What are the responsibilities in-regards to the property?

Example, Repairs, Maintenance etc.

I want to do just a straight lease, tenant will have first option to purchase when I am ready to sell.

    Your local landlord tenant law defines your responsibilities as a landlord.

    Lesae or no Lease, you are legally a Landlord if you rent out real estate. You can find your Landlord-Tenant Law on-line.
