    ellihue2,

The FBI does not lien houses they seize houses.

So are you buying houses with 'meth labs' associated with them?

One it has gone through foreclosure it is owned by the lender. So unless the lender operates the 'meth lab' I would not be overly concerned.

Welcome on board this board, I guess this may happen once every millenium.

No, not a crack house... It's some kind of "white collar crime"... I talked to a neighbor and the Homeowner is simply wanted for questions. He left in a hurry. That's my concern.

However if I'm driving your car that's titled in your name and I get busted for drugs, your car can be seized and sold buy the authorities. Just wondering if their are similar laws for RE?

Hey John I thought I was the only one purchasing homes used as meth labs. It now seems I may have competition.

Ellihue, to answer your question, the FBI would not place a lien but they would initiate a seizure. A seizure is essentially in the nature of an administrative order. Its my understanding that the feds, more particularly a federal prosecutor, would still have to go to court in order to physically take the property.
