Looking For Info On Filing Lis Pendens On Vacant Property
I ran across an old victorian house, boarded up and due to be auctioned off for back taxes. I can't find owner( in defunct co. name). A not for profit org. has filed a lis pendens to gain ownership to rehab and sell. Need to find any info about this. House is in Kansas City, Mo.
Thanks for responding, This house was taken out of tax sale because of this lis pendens. Since the group filing the suit is not for profit, if they obtain the property all taxes will be waived. This company's assetts are listed at $2 million but got legal aid to file this at no charge. I have been trying to check this co. out but can't find anything. It looks like a front to obtain property for free.
