House Flipping Rates (local, State And National Data)
I am doing some research on three counties in southern california, where can i get Flip rates by zip or by county and for california?
Dataquick Real Estate Stats gives median sell price by zip but doesnt give flip rates. Hope some one can offer some input.

What do you mean by "flip" rates?
finniganps, that is exactly what I ment. How can you offer any input as to where and how I would gather that information? Also is this statistic really important or looked at regularly? Thank you for you help. I learning a lot from this forum.

2 ways to get the data depending on how cooperative your MLS is.
#1 - contact the local MLS for the areas you are interested in and have them run a report for you with the criteria you want.
#2 - In Texas you can download the raw tax appraisal data in most counties which includes a history of title transfer. If you are technically minded you could quickly whip up a report to show change of title within a period of time summarized by zip code.

You can probably go to your local property appraiser as well, very inexpensive
