What Is A Good "Direct Mail" Book?
What is a good book on the subject of direct mail marketing? SOmething that explains the subject and gives some insight into how to reach the motivated seller?

Over the years, beginning in 1980, I suppose that I've met with hundreds if not thousands of distressed homeowners in their homes, or in my office.
The first thing I did (early on) was ask, "Let's see the letters that you've been getting...."
After awhile, I had quite a collection of solicitations from lawyers, mortgage brokers, real estate brokers, creative investors, foreclosure consultants, etc.
Interesting stuff. The most well received/credible solicitations were those that offered something for free, some useful information. Something that had a use/benefit after the initial read.
I suggest that you start your own collection... and learn what your competition is doing.
AN excellent suggestion! I have collected a couple and had the same idea as you, to do something that would give value to the individual. I have toyed with providing three months credit repair service after the short etc.
