  Speak to anyone who has taken his course. Upsell, Upsell, Upsell. I wrote an article on Guru's, but I dont know if Joel is going to post it or not. If this is your first foray into REI, I'm sure it will leave a bad taste in your mouth. Do not fear, there are many here (thank God for them all), who will be glad to give you information free. And the Senior Investors here have done more than Whitney ever did.

  Everyone has an opinion and here is mine. All the Guru's seem to say the same things over and over. They pull people in by offering just enough to pull you into funding thier other ventures. Therein lies the big $ for them.
  One thing I found most common is they are or were all students of another Guru and modified by trial and error or experience thier programs. One of the things I discovered is the programs only work if you do. Period. They can all work if you are inventive, undiscoraged and positive about what you do. In all the seminars etc... I have attended there are dogs out to cheat lie and steal their way to success........all of them. It makes me sick. What is your goal and your purpose in doing this business? Mine is helping people less adept at seeing past our own barriers. Those that make it are those who can see that there are no boundries, no boxes and only one true rule......... and if you follow that rule you will succeed, slow or fast is unrealitive. Pick a starting point no one has to stay there, add to it build on it grow in knowledge, integrity, skill, succeed. If you expect Russ Whitney, Carlton Sheets, Al Lowery to make you succeed you are in the wrong business. It is you and learning from each other that will lead you to success. Those who keep do not reap! Pigs get slaughtered and seeds get scattered and grow!
