Loss Mitigation Contact Numbers

qwikm profile photo

Folks,
I am kinda confused. I have browsed the forum for the contact numbers of lenders "Loss Mitigation Dept" and it looks like most of the numbers (citibank etc.) are blind alleys.

Anyone who can provide a good list of numbers.
Thx

    Fing the appropriate individual to speak with isn't hard. It just takes some investigative energy and some time.

    I've been reading some of the questions posted by 'freshman & sophomore' speculators on this, and other boards, basically seeking information such as a good attorney, a good title company, a good list of preforeclosures, and now, a good telephone number.

    What most of you don't yet appreciate is that cultivating 'good' anything takes time and practice. It's all about relationship building, and implementing a methodology that works for you. Most of us have learned to perfect our practice via trial and error. That 'learning process' is never ending. What works today might not work tomorrow.

    The one thing that we all realize is that nothing remains the same. Our's is a dynamic niche industry effected by markets, laws, the economy, and personalities.

    =================

    Try calling the person whose name appears on the last (preforeclosure) letter
    received by the Homeowner. From there, you'll follow the trail to the appropriate department/individual.

    What "number" works for one loan might not be applicable to another, even if serviced by the same company. Mortgage loan servicers may service loans for dozens of individual portfolio investors... each with their own servicing &/or loss mit criteria.

    Instead of seeking 'good telephone numbers' I would suggest that you practice what you intend on saying/asking when you do reach the
    empowered individual. Learn as much as you can about each loan as you move up the foodchain of information.

    The more you know about the loan type, the better able you will be to negotiate a mutually beneficial transaction.

    The less you know, the more likely you will find yourself at a dead end.

    i agree with the above, it's all trial and error, keep at it.
