TV BURN!

GQ profile photo

I own a 47 inch widescreen tv I would like to play video games on without worrying about the screen burning. I’m in the market for a laptop so this morning I was on the alienware website and I found one which would suit my needs. I noticed the laptop I want has an S-video cable port and on the site it says you can hook it up to tv’s. Sooooooo my question is can I play computer games via the S-Video connection without it buring my tv screen?????

    GQ,

    Polaroid? Do you mean Panasonic?

For your 37" screen, the optimum viewing distance is around 8 feet; 10 feet for your 47" screen. I doubt you will find an S-video cable long enough even if you get a satisfactory answer to your screen burn question.

    WiFi may be your solution.

Nope, Polaroid! It tripped me out to lol The polaroid 37 inch LCD for $1600 was one of the best deals I could find on the net. I bought it at a local circuit city. They tried to charge me $1800 but I held them to their online price of $1600

Okay I think I got it!

37 inch LCD screen computer with appropriate cables ,wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. With this combination one should be able to play video games from their computer on their large LCD without having to sit right up on the screen.
