Is There A Reporting Company For Renters?

JamesStreet profile photo

I was wondering if there is some sort of clearing house like the big 3 credit agencies that tracks renters?

I have found that even running back ground checks and credit checks I still miss some of the big problems (slow pays skips etc.) I think it would be great to have a way to report deadbeats. A place where landlords could place the vital info . Any input?

This site was good. I was thinking more like the big 3 credit reporters. Thanks again.

How many landlords out there would join such a group? What are you willing to pay for such a service? This would really require everyone input and help.

    Thanks

The legal issues are great. There would be a lot of safe gaurds but there are a lot of data minning companys that could help I bet. While I understand we need these safe guards but what I hate is that good people suffer because of the action of a few.

Glad to see you are back grounding your renters too. It would be cool that when every a renter goes to get a place they knew just like I do when I get a loan that my past matters. They know that the landlord can use their past. Oh what a Christmas wish. Or maybe I am a dreamer.

    Thanks again loon.

Would any of you pay for this service and how mush would you pay per year? What services would you want? If you know of other sources let me know. I am trying to work this out.

Yes I have. It would have to have the same safe guards as the credit companys. I know federal law states you can challange your credit report. I would guess it is the same for this. Man it would be nice to make life hard for the skippers......
