Contract For Deed Question

walss1sss profile photo

I've been getting into real estate investing, and bought a property a few years ago and a couple of months I sold with a contract for deed agreement. I have notice a few weeks ago that there are different people in the house or at least I don't know them as far as the contract. I was wondering if I could or should do anything. My payments are still coming in with no problems and my contract doesn't say they can't move other people into it. What I do if anything?

Look over your contract, but I don't think there is anything for you to do. Ciontract for deed are treated more like a sale than a rental. You can see if there are any clauses in your contract to prevent this, but I doubt it.

    Good Luck!
