Repo MBL Hm ?

theadams5 profile photo

I recently made a bid to purchase a mbl hm from a repo. Got it at a great bid, but have since found out that it was not registered at all with DMV and no taxes have ever been paid on it. I think when I purchase it then I must register it and pay the back taxes on it. Anybody have any idea about this?
The company I bidded with said after I pay them then they would send me the Title. My question is how can they have a Tilte if the DMV is telling me that it is not registered. This is a big Mbl Hm financing company so are they just trying to unload this repo on me and leave me in a bind as to the taxes?

Thanks,
Lynn :-?

man...be carefull when dealing with repos...if you were to buy this home without checking it out you could get raked. If home is on private prop..the landowner could have lein on home, wanting back storage etc..., in order to buy home and move it back taxes must be paid, i assume some states have loop holes to where you can get around, in tx if you have a writ you can move the home without back taxes being paid. long story short, do your homework before ever bidding on home. contact me if you need any more help
