Map Plotting

RobertMD profile photo

Hi,

I am trying to come up with a route to put some signs out tonight and had a quick question for anyone who might have any ideas...Say i wanted to take a whole bunch of addresses and plot them on a map. Does anybody know how i could do this??? Obviously mapquest wont work for multiple addresses. Is there any kind of program? Maybe im trying to be to technical and should just try to figure out the general areas from previous forclosure lists, but a computer program would be great!!! cool grin Thanks for reading -Rob[ Edited by SlickRob on Date 06/13/2005 ]

You could try the Tax assessors office on line for your county. Some that I have looked at in other states can give you a general idea where certain owners are located. If you look into First American Real Estate on line they have some products that may help. I have not tried any of them but it may be worth looking at.

    CarolG,

To get a list of recent FSBOs in your area, I would suggest wbyowner [dot] com. I have used their service before and it is worthwhile if that is a market you want to target.

I would ask them for a week or two free trial.

    To your success,

I forgot to mention that I even post my flyers at the super market stores, too.

    I will do that.

    Thank you everyone!

keep in mind the FSBO market is difficult for two reasons
    1. they are trying to save money by not using an agent in the first place

    2. Good agents are calling them telling quoting inflated prices to get their listing.

I would try calling Houses for rent instead...

Those people are either tired of rentals or wanting to buy more. Either way you win.. Assuming you have houses for sale.

    Good luck

I will keep that in mind and I will try rentals, too.

    Thank you for the tip!

My father in law is a realtor, and just had a call from a lady who was already contracted. She was selling FSBO, and contracted for 115k and her house is worth 140k. She realized it after the appraisal came in, and was calling to figure out a way out of the contract.

So yes, there are good underpriced propertys out there in the fsbo market. You just have to sift through to find the good ones.
