John Locke's Postcard??

goodbuddy profile photo

Yesterday I was reading through many, many past forum topics and I came across one asking John Locke for his pre-foreclosure sale postcard. I have been searching today, but I can't find that request!! ! Anyway, this is a request to John Locke if you would please email me that postcard. If you are still doing this I would ever so greatly appreciate this email. Thanks!

I tried both & it still doesn't work on this end. Mozilla said the file doesn't begin with .pdf & I.E. just sits there. I would like to see this if anyone has a copy. You can email it to me if your ever so kind. My address is **Please See My Profile**
    Thanks all

    goodbuddy,

    Glad to meet you.

Sometimes I have to help my mother-in-law with the sellers refrigerator when she helps them pack.

Other than that it's my pleasure to make it available here at TCI.

Is anyone else having a problem downloading John's postcard? I've tried several times and can't get it to come up.

  • JohnLocke11th July, 2004

    maggyldy,

Not an expert on downloads but the card is in Adobe Reader PDF format, if this helps and if you need a current copy of Reader it is available free at:

    John,
I'm getting a message that the file is damaged. So far, I haven't had a problem downloading adobe files and do it all the time. It seems like I'm the only one having a problem though. I guess I'll try again soon. I, too, am not an expert!

  • lukabrasi11th July, 2004

i too have also received the damaged file message, so your not alone.

  • Stockpro9911th July, 2004

THis is probably the most concise and best written card I have seen!

I talked with Joel the webmaster here at TCI and he was aware of a problem with the download, so I will check back with him to see if the problem has been corrected.

John, on a unrelated note do you personally attend the "cashclub" investors meetings in Connecticut? i looked it up on the site and i called and left a message but no reply. i know someone who is a member, would i be able to just show up with him and pay my dues at the door. thanks Jeb.

From what I know, there isn't anything wrong with downloading it.

We have been having lots of problems with users using IE for file downloads.

Mozilla Firefox users will not receive the majority of the problems that come with Internet Explorer.

  • JohnLocke11th July, 2004

I downloaded Firefox awhile ago, since I use IE I found that there are times when Firefox get the job done when IE doesn't.

    It is free at www.mozilla.org

I have IE 6.0 and Acrobat Reader 6.0. The postcard opened up instantly for me without issue.

  • knsv12th July, 2004

I was wondering if anyone else got to download it, i had similar problems it keeps saying damaged file.

  • maggyldy12th July, 2004

Thanks for the advice. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and was able to finally to get my hand on this infamous postcard. John, your mother-in-law must be a busy woman. Nice touch, but I'm not sure that my mother-in-law will like it.

Please do the same for me as well. Thanks in advance!

I have IE 6 and Adobe 6 and I have the same problem. I also have problems with several other links in the Marketing Section. I get and error while trying to open the file or trying to save the file.

tried downloading with ie 6 (have adobe 6.0) and with mozilla, no luck with either. Mozilla says "file does not begin with '%pdf-'' help.

  • clegg13th July, 2004

I don't know if you guys tried this, but right click on it and Save As to your hard drive, and then open it from your hard drive. Simply left clicking on it doesn't always open the file.

Hi!! I was the first one to ask for John Locke's post card but I can't get it either. Once it came up and then poof, it disappeared. Now I get the damaged file message. If someone would email it to me I would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks!

  • JohnLocke14th July, 2004

    goodbuddy,

If you contact me by using my email link in my profile I will see if I can't get you the post card this way.

I do not harvest emails, sell mailing lists or spam anyone, so be assured that you will not have to worry about your email address going to anyone but me, it will only be used for sending you the post card.

Is it possible for someone to post the actual card in a post here, since most of us have been having troubles opening it.

    Thanks
