filing deeds in maricopa county ARIZONA

anyone familiar with the code/statute on deed transfers. I know there is an affidavit of value that needs to be filed. Anyone know what else is involved? I tried to call the dept of revenue. the people i spoke had know clue, (front desk people) and when they tried to put me throught to someone that might know I got voicemails and disconnects..grrrrrrrrrrrr. Bureacracy at its best. anyhow, does any action with the dept of revenue take place prior to a deed being filed? If you have recorded a deed in maricopa county, you probably know what I'm taking about better than I'm asking it. THanks a bunch!
