what percentage of total unit cost is land cost on average?...Is it better to get an architecht first or use one that the builder is comfortable with? which builder in DC is recommended? I have a meeting today with Clark Construction. Basic outline of deal.........130,000 sq ft building, 9 stories up 2 down.....storefront/condo, upwards of 20 million estimated cost. Anything specific I should be on the lookout for/horror stories etc.....
I am from the DC area and Clark Construction is a pretty good contractor. They do alot of commercial development in the downtown area of DC. and they do projects for the federal government in the city as well.
