Searching For A Guru And Information

BobbyQ profile photo

Hello all,

I'm a brand spanking new newbie. I've been reading many books on real estate. I just wanted to know if I am headed in the right direction. Has anyone read any of Tyler Hicks' books? What about William Bronchick? I'm also looking at the famous Robert G. Allen. Am I reading the right books?

I don't have dreams of becoming a millionaire overnight. I know it takes a lot of work which I am prepared to do. Right now, I'm just trying to learn enough to flip my first property.

I'm looking forward to being an active member of this board.

Ciao,
Bobby wink

I am also new and am building my Iibrary. I just ordered a couple of books off of Amazon, but I would also like to ask JOHN LOCKE to talk a little about his book, "The Short Sale Primer".

I am interested in purchasing the E-Book, but I would like to hear from the author himself on what seperates his book from the competition.

Anyone else hear read Joh Locke's book?

    chedaw,

    Glad to meet you.

First of all I do not have a book on Short Sales, you are looking for the ShortSalePro.

But, that's OK it is April Fools day.

    John,

What do you think of the authors I have mentioned? I guess they are your competition.

    Regards.

    John,

You are too modest. I just found your E-book, "Big Bucks Bird-Dogging"

At first glance, the reviews seemed mix. However, I noticed many reviewers recant their initial post and say that you were very helpful once people asked for help.

Taking this question from someone who posted a reply to one of the reviews,
"Does you ebook provide a novice within the right tools to market one property to an investor? That''s an honest question for an honest answer."

I would appreciate your reply and any other pertinent information as I am about to pluge into buying this book.

    Thanks

    Rob,

Katy, TX. We're almost neighbors in this giant state of Texas. Are there any real estate clubs in your area?

    Regards,

    BobbyQ,

I just joined the REI North Houston Club. The meetings are the 2nd Saturday of every month. (my first meeting should be this month, however, I believe it is during Easter Weekend so I am not sure if they will have it).

You can sign up under the GROUPS tab at the top of the page.

    $25/yr dues. (not bad).
More importantly, the meetings can help newbies like you and me.
    Good luck!

    Rob,

Great minds must think a like. I just joined it also. I don't live too far from the host. I do believe that you are right in that it is the Easter Holiday weekend. I've tried to call the number on their website but I can't get through for some reason. I don't know what time the meeting will start or what to expect.

I joined for the same reason you did. To get exposure and meet like minded people. It will probably be one of the best $25 dollar investments we could make.

    Hope to see you there.

    Ciao,
    BobbyQ
