I would love to be able to not have to go through each and every forum category to find new posts.

A "Todays Posts" or " Posts since your last visit" like many other sites have would be GREAT ! ! !

i'm sure others who are regular visitiors would appreciate this feature as well.

Thanks for your consideration.

    Joel,

Perhaps a simple implementation of this suggestion would be to expand the forum search function to include a date/time range.

Just add a radio button in the advanced search features to "include all posts in last 12 hours" and maybe another one to "include all posts in last 24 hours."

    WillFalkiner,

When I first started posting here about 20,000 some members ago, my request to Joel was have a rolling board if thats what it is called. Where you can just scroll down to check out posts.

He held to his guns on this one never would give in. As was pointed out to him most boards have this feature.

Right now this site is without a doubt the number one site on the net for investors. So I figure leave the method of running boards to the Site Guru's (Tim Included) he must have seen something you and I didn't.

DaveT's idea sounds good. Maybe Joel will give it some thought, because with the amount of posts being made on a daily basis it is sometimes hard to keep up. Something like 300 posts a day and a few flaming threads here and there makes it difficult to follow.

There are already a few features that are already in place. The red folders show you that there are posts in the forum that are new since your last visit.

The links will turn grey when you view the links that are immediate.
