Texas Tax Deed Evictions
I am new at this and was wondering if anybody knows what the procedure is to evict the homeowners once I acquire a property? Can this be done prior to the redemption period or do I have to wait the 180 days? :-?
It is my understanding that in order to evict the current occupants you will need to request a FED (forcible entry and detainer) with the local Justice of the Peace Court. The filing fee for this is nominal and the local authorities will then handle the situation. Also, you do not need to wait until after the redemption period to do this.
