i live in Ga and i was wondering if anyone can help me find out where to go to look for deeds and the steps to acquire them.
i am trying to find ways where the small amount i saved can grow to pay for my kids college and hopefully be able to retire and not live off of social security
i heard that deeds are a good way to go,for people who can't buy "investement" homes.
thank you if you can help

Check with the Tax Commissioner. I would ask for the Levy Department of the Tax Commissioners office.

For basic information on the sales you should search for the Cobb County Delinquent Tax Booklet on the Internet. They have put together some basic information. Here is the link: http://www.cobbtax.org/pdffiles/taxsales.pdf

If the link does not come up then go to Yahoo. com and type in: Cobb County Delinquent Tax Booklet (it should come up #1).

Georgia calls it tax liens a fi. fa. this is short for fieri facias and is just a noun used to describe the the tax lien or tax writ. Don't let it confuse you.

    Best of luck!
