It is definitely worth it, but every state in the nation is different regarding the process. Make sure you find a state that you are comfortable with and/or get a seasoned investor to do the investing for you. Some states have a lengthy redemption period, another makes it illegal to sell the property within a year after its bought. There are some quirky laws you need to be aware of.
