Etal & Etux...What Do They Mean?

gmackk profile photo

Hello again,
I was recently doing some research on some delinquent properties in my state. And I came across these titles or something on alot of owners names. The titles or whatever were "etux" & "etal".
They went something like this:
Doe, John A etux Mary J.

Any idea what these terms means?

ps. If I am in the wrong forum please forgive me, but I was researching tax default owners and was thinking these terms had somthing to do with a tax default owner (maybe not)...

etux: Latin et uxor (and wife)

etal Latin et alii (and others)

    Lawyers love latin!

But don't call your wife an "ux" to her face... (LOL)
