El Dorado Anyone ?
Hi Tax Lieners and Deeders,
Did anybody attend today's El Dorado county tax sale in Placerville CA ? Just wondering how it went. Was planning to go watch, but then got caught up in my todo list.
Do you know which county is next within 2 hours of Sacramento ? Kern is this Monday through Wednesday, but that's too far from civilization.

What do you mean? Bakersfield is less than 2 hours from Los Angeles. Oh wait. "Civilization" Hmmm. Never Mind.
I went last year. There were two hundred people. The room held 100, so 100 were in the hall outside listening on speakers out there. Properties sold for market value and above.
I wrote on it last year, posted about Nov 8 or 9 or so.

Hi Ron,
The civilization in California is inversely proportional to the distance from the capital, Sacramento. I did read your report from last year, and that prompted me to try your excess proceeds technique in El Dorado this year. Unfortunately, I only managed to talk by phone to one owner living within driving distance from me, and he wasn't really interested in selling. The higher properties sell at the auction, the better. By the way, El Dorado does post excess proceeds online after the auction.
