Bird Dog Finders Fees And Taxes...
When you pay a bird dog for finding you properties, obviously it is a cost of business for you... What do you do at the end of the year when it comes to issuing tax forms... If I spend less than $600 per person (my handyman) for repairs, I don't have to issue him a tax statement.
If I were to pay the same bird dog $1,000 during the course of one year, how should I approach this come tax time? Should I issue him a tax form (1099 I think it's called)?
