Need Your Opinions
An old schoolmate of my stepsons is in town for the weekend, cleaning out his fathers previous residence. His father passed away about 4 months ago and the son just wants to get everything settled. The residence is a single wide 30 year old mobile home in a 55+ park
that will not allow rentals, only owners as residents. On the surface it appears to be in good shape but needs new carpet and cleaning both inside and out. The son wants $5000, as is. I've considered telling the son I'd give him the $5K but only after I've fixed it up and found another buyer. I'm not even sure if it's worth the 5K. How would I find out the value of a mobile home and whether there would be a market for future sale.
