Help Talking To The Bank

ceebo44 profile photo

Hello all,
I am a newbie and i'm tryin to start in short saling. I was wondering if there is anyone that has a script for the way a conversation with the bank is supposed to go. I've heard that you have to be careful about what you say to the bank. If someone can help me in the process of talking to the bank it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The 1st thing you have to do is show the bank a letter of permission from the homeowner. When doing a short sale finding the right person to speak to will be one of the hardest parts.

Basically be very forward and to the point. You will get tossed around a LOT so keep on trying. You need to say that you are interested in purchasing a home and you need a shorted payoff. GOOD LUCK

Buy some short sell material - there are several good primer's, audio and written material out there.

With some banks, you may never actually get to speak with them. They have answering machines (that are full), but your fax machine is your friend.

    Good luck,
