Can Someone Help Me Short Sell A Property That I Have?

slushman profile photo
I have a duplex that I would like to try to short sell to anyone willing to help me do this. I live in Washington State, more specific Tacoma (University Place), WA.

What do I have to do to get started? What do I have to worry about in persuing this?

I need to get rid of this property now or I am going to have to let the 2nd go into foreclosure soon.

I am currently getting $2,200/month rental income, mortgages equal approx. $2,900/month, and I could probably raise it a couple of hundred dollars. I hope this helps get this post going. I really look forward to your comments and solutions.

Thanks in advance,

Slushman

I could refer you to a local short sale agent in your area if you would like. If you have not done so.

I would like a local agent or investor to help me get out of this duplex. Any help or direction would be greatful. I have not been late on the payments yet but it will happen if I do not sell the duplex soon.

when looking for an agent, be sure that they truly know what they are doing not just the fact that they have "done" short sales before. there is a lot more to successfully closing a short sale than just going with the flow of the market.

    Hey Short Sale Guru,

Could you please elaborate as to what I need to look for in an agent. I do not have a clue as to what I need to look for in terms of experience.

    Thanks,
    Slushman
