Roofer wanted Central Connecticut

In Connecticut I have been quoted three times the Florida price for a new roof! Can anyone tell me what a 2500 square foot roof should cost in CT? Can anyone suggest a good but reasonably priced roofer in CT? Preferably in the Hartford/New Haven corridor.
