Help, Im Getting To Many Opinions About Hardwood Floors,
I just bought a house and getting lots of opinions. its a 2 story home, up stairs is all hardwood, downstairs im replacing with all hard woods. Would it look tacky if the upstairs hardwoods were a different type of wood or finish than the downstairs. And If I put hardwoods through out the house, should i also hardwood the kitchen or should I tile it. Its a nice 4 bedroom home 2300 sq ft. I want it to look really good, could someone help me out
Also someone said just put laminate down in the 1st floor, I think that would be a bad idea since there is hardwood on 2nd fl.

the same would be nice, but different woods could be a nice accent I think.
If you use diffent woods - try to stain them the same color.
For the kitchen and bath I would definitely tile.
