Buying Land To Build A House

I have been presented with the opportunity to buy a lot of land and then build a house in a new and up coming nieghborhood . I am new to real estate investing and would like to know first if this is something I should pursue. If this is a good investment choice what would be the steps to take to get financing for this project. Thanks Dave

    do you still have condo..if so where, i can close fast if comps are there....
