Approximate Cost Of Central Air In 8 Unit Apt Building?
I was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark figure on the cost of purchasing and installing central air in an apartment building with 8 800 sq ft units? 2 story building with 4 on the bottom and 4 on the top.

Are you familiar with miniduct, high-velocity central air systems? You don't have to do the expensive ductwork, and it is supposed to be just as efficient as central air, for a lot lower price. One company that does these is called Spacepak. There are others too, if you do a google search. I believe they do installation nationwide. It's at least worth looking into.

the best way is to get a couple of bids from local contractors. Int he last month or so I have put out bids for a similar project that came back 30-50K the difference being in the type of the structure, the materials used and desired, the amount of new ducting and accessability etc.
Each building is different .....
