Investing, Buying, Living In Costa Or Panama

Well it is time to start thinking abut where I want to actually live vs where I am due to convience. I have my sights set on Costa Rica or Panama. Costa would be the first choice but Panama has better "ex-pat" incentives and perks. Prices are skyrocketing in Costa Rica and seeem to be much more reasonable in Panama. I love the good ol US of A but geographically speaking Central America has more to offer for what I am looking for in life. My wife and I are used to living very simple when needed. We can easily do without the cell phones, Cable, INTERNET, Mega-Markets, millions of cars and people, etc ....Warm ocean, big waves, good fishing, fresh backyard fruit and low cost of living is what I am looking for....I think I have Hermit tendencies.

Anyone out there own , live, invest, in either of these two countries? Please share your experiences.
there was a similar post about investing south of the border a few months back. I recall researching on google and finding a wealth of info. Sounds extremely advertous and exciting. Wish you tremendous enjoyment and keep us posted
