Has Anybody Read Any Really INFORMATIVE Books By The Donald Or Buffett?

just wondering if Donald Trump or Warren have written anything that's worth reading (advanced stratagies/techniques, valuable info..). From the sounds of the Donald thread, he's a Mr Pep-talk for the most part... rolleyes

I agree about Trump, he is an attention whore. Buffet is far more respected in the business world. He has never written anything about RE as far as I am aware but he does write books once in a while. Are you looking to get investment advise and the like, or his opinion on the current economy? He also has an annual (maybe semi annual) report that comes out giving his current feelings and future predictions that all the news networks cover, so that should be easy to find.
Keep in mind, Buffet has no 'get rich' books. His books explain the economic principles he uses and why...more of a textbook.[ Edited by clegg on Date 06/25/2004 ]

I appreciate the response 8-) Yah, I'm basically looking for whatever table scraps the big guys are willing to throw us "little people". I guess I kinda assumed Buffett has spoken of real estate investing because of the turn he's taking with Dairy Queen (soon to be Chill n Grill) and the sort.

Actually though, I'd consider any words of advice, techniques, information or even predictions regarding any kind of investments coming from either of those two guys to be of great value. Just not interested in reading a book by them or anyone else that contains nothing more than pep-talk crap tongue laugh

I'll check into those avenues you mentioned in the meantime. Thankswink

I wonder if he can change the image of Dairy Queen without upsetting the retired people who meet there in the morning for coffee. Thats the only thing keeping the chain alive We will see

I read Trump's new book. It is a quick and easy read that I would give a C+.

One piece of advice Trumb gives that I find interesting is that a $10k loss or a $100k loss or a $1M loss is a loss. Size does not matter a loss is a loss, therefore do the biggest deals that you can do. Make big deals work and you will make more money. I think Trump's point is that is just as easy to do a multi-million dollar deal where you make millions as is to do a $100k deal and you only make thousands. Don't be scared, get in the biggest game you can find.
