Umbrella Insurance

Anyone have experience in this matter if you hold title to a property through another entity (LLC, S Corp, etc), have the loan in your name personally, and get umbrella insurance?
Some of the carriers say my rental properties are NOT covered, since it's not in MY name, but in an entity (which is basically just me).
I do have insurance on each property, but trying to figure out the value of umbrella coverage if it doesn't extend to my rentals.

Thanks

I have 7 properties and 18 units in upstate ny. It costs me $289 extra a year for a 1 million dollar personal umbrella policy for rental properties.
Try allstate they were pretty easy to work with.

I think Matt was interested in how the insurance is handled with an LLC.

Krupdog do you have your properties listed in your name or a company name?

    BTW how is the weather

Last month I came back down here to Florida from Webster.
