There is no condo or co-op restriction in the Section 8 program that I am aware of. The property must pass the HUD health and safety inspection. Provided the condominium association covenants permit renters, you should be OK. You do need to check the condo association bylaws to see what rules apply specifically to landlords.
You may have a problem with a co-op, if the co-op board has final approval for all residents -- whether owner-occupants or tenants.
