Property Stigma

jrbmx1 profile photo

I am currently looking at a home to turn in to a potential rental property in a college area. The disclosure from the broker indicates the home owner was murdered in their home.

Does anyone have any insight on this type of circumstance and would it prevent renters or a future sale of the home? Thanks.

I was told that it had to be disclosed if sold in California. I know they had a heck of a time selling the house where the Wesson massacre occurred.

I just attended an auction. The elderly neighbor of the property, whom I know, told me the story:

In July the woman who lived in the house (an elderly woman) went into her kitchen and turned on the sink tap and promptly died. She was not found for THREE WEEKS. (Baltimore, July, no AC... 3 weeks!) The water ran for three weeks, and then the neighbors, uh, smelled something...

Anyway, the house did not smell or anything now. They had bottles of perfume set out all over the place, tho.

No disclosure... And the young couple who got the house (at a price that made me think the bubble has finally burst!) will now be HAUNTED by the ghost of this woman, angry at not being found for three weeks!

    HAUNTED!
