Home Owners Insurance
I am from los Angeles, california, and I just recently purchased three duplexes in Long Beach Mississippi. The problem is I'm having problems finding Home Owners Insurance. Most Companies tell me that they won't insure me if they are not insuring my primary residence. While one company I found told me that they will insure me, but won't give me any Liability insurance. I have also called my primary insurance company( TRIPLE A), which told me that they are based in California, and do not write in other states.
How does an investor get home oweners insurance?
Contact a local REIA group in the area and get an Agent referral. You really need "landlord" insurance, as you don't live there...
