Anybody Leased To Group Home Halfway House
Not getting any response to my first post so I will simplify it. If anyone has ever rented to a group home or the like please tell me what your experience was like. And if you have not please let me know what you think. Good Idea or Bad and why. Thanks Darren
I am in the second camp - never have done it before.
I would focus on the terms of the contract. I know housing programs that are handled as a master lease and then the group can do what they want. As long as they return the property in the same condition (same not after wear and tear) and pay on time then I would be happy. The agreements I looked at were 5 or 10 year deals. I did not pursue the deal at the time as I moved away and did not want to locate a property that would fit the model. They were paying market rents.

Based on that info and the credit worthness of the agency, I might bite.
