Newbie REI - Needs Advice

Hi, I live in Houston, Texas. There is an abundance of RE opportunities such as distressed properties, FSBO, foreclosures, HUD properties, etc. I would like to be able to buy and sell. In the beginning, however, I wanted to know if anyone knows how to get in touch with investors who could front the money for purchases for the time being, until I am able to make my own purchases. In other words, finding properties is not a problem, I just need a funding source.

    you can try "hard money lenders" just put it in your "search" and you will find tons.

    you could also find some deals and refer then to other investors, "birdoging", that could genreate some cash

    This 'birddogging" sounds like a good way to start and learn ....

    Any ideas how to hook up with other investors?

    These questions may seem kinda "dumb" but I have no clue ......
