Multi Property On Site Management?

apyles profile photo
In investing in multi family propertyies is there any law that states you need on site management once you are over a certain level? I have heard that you need to have a full time on site manager if you have over a 4 units. Is this truth to this? Thanks, Andy

    apyles,

If there is, I HAVE NEVER heard of one!

...but if you are going to invest in a multi-unit proprety, 4+, I would see if 1 of the 4 might just keep an open eye on your REI for a small RENT break....

    KnowWhat I mean!

    Yes,

In CA the law is 14 units or more. Not all states have defined this regulation.

In Florida it depends on the county first that the property is located, then the state. You will need to check with your local laws to be sure. Some states dont even address it in there laws from what I have been told.
