I use the local tax rolls to find vacant property owners and then follow-up by sending out a letter to them. If they are truly motivated they will respond to your letter. There are also people locator services out there that can find individuals you may be looking for for a modest fee.

It is the same. Just go to your local city or county assessor and ask them for the name and address the property tax statements are being sent to. You can try to find them through a phonebook but usually you will have to resort to sending snail mail.

Not too long ago I tried an online information service and the result was pretty good, I was able to locate my uncle in Florida, several property owners and a few other folks. They use address and/or names to perform searches. Also I think you can perform as many searches as you like within your registered 24 hour period. The name was Intellius or similar.

    Happy Hunting!
